The Soil EXHIBIT represents the single documented Lynching in New Jersey.

Presenter: Rabbi Sirbu, Temple Emeth, Chairperson of the Social Justice Remembrance Coalition’s Soil EXHIBIT

Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 7:00 pm: Remembering the SPORTS and MUSIC LEGENDS of Bergen County

Presented by Thomas Monroe, Graduate of Norfolk State University, Educator, Coach, and member of the Englewood Historical Society  

Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 7:00 pm: ARCHAEOLOGICAL FINDINGS at Dunkerhook:

A historic African American Community in Paramus, this research has uncovered archaeological deposits containing thousands of artifacts that help to describe the everyday lives and activities of the Bennett household who lived in the community from its founding in the 1830s until the 1910s.

Presenters include Prof. Chris Matthews, Chair of the Department of Anthropology at MSU, and Will Williams, an MSU alum and current student at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 7:00 pm: HEALTH and NUTRITION,

Looking at Health and Nutritional needs in Community. Learn about healthy living through excellent nutrition and keeping up with a fitness program that is manageable and fun.

Presenter: Marie Trice Jenkins, Consultant for Marble Jam Foundation, Fitness Instructor and Nutritionist specializing in the needs of Autistic and other neurodiverse community members. Maria holds a BA in Sociology from Wesleyan University
