Richard is one of a handful of nationally and internationally recognized artists who combine the classical tradition with a humanistic vitality of will and spirit. In Blake’s sculpture he is always seeking to portray the complexity of the human condition; he imbues his figures with stoic, inward expressions that reflect the basic emotions and traits that we all share.
